Besides Google Shopping attributes, it is possible to change certain product status within the group editing window. Before editing please select all products which should be edited. After that please click the button "Edit XX Product(s)" at the bottom of the left to open the group editing window. Following status can be changed:
- Advertise Status
To activate/deactivate all selected products click on the button "Edit Advertise Status". By clicking either the button or the slide switch you can set the status from active to inactive. Orange = active, grey = inactive. To save the changes click the button "Update XX Product(s)"
- Click the button "Edit Identifier Status" to set the status from active to inactive and vice versa. Orange = active, grey = inactive.
Identifier is a unambiguous product identification. Usually this is the GTIN/EAN of a product. If you want to advertise products which have provable no GTIN/EAN you have to set this status inactive. This gives Google the information that products have no GTIN/EAN. So, these products can be advertised without GTIN/EAN. To save the changes click the button "Update XX Product(s)"
If you sell only products without GTIN/EAN, you can determine within the "Import Settings" that all products should be advertised without identifier.
To open the import settings click on the gearwheel icon at the top of the right.
By default the slide switch at "New products have an ID" is on active. That means that all new products have a GTIN/EAN. The slide switch must be set on inactive to sell products without such an ID. This is relevant for handmade products, for example. That gives Google the information that these products can be advertised although they have no GTIN/EAN.
NOTE: GTIN/EAN are absolutely necessary for products which have this ID. This function should only be used if there is provable no GTIN/EAN existing (Example: handcrafted or custom-made products). If products will sent to Google without identifier although there is provable one existing, Google could lock your campaign.
Click the button "Edit Topseller Status" to mark products as topseller. By clicking either the button or the slide switch you can set the status from active to inactive. Orange = active, grey = inactive. To save the changes click the button "Update XX Product(s)".
This leads to a 30% higher maximum click price for topseller products.
NOTE: This function is useful to advertise certain products more visible on Google Shopping. But there should not be more than 20% of your products marked as topseller.
